THE MOTORSPORT COMPANY
The MotorSport Company was formed in August 1992 to promote the New Zealand National Race Championship Series. The
Championships were based at the country's six permanent race venues spanning from Auckland to the worlds southern most
circuit in Invercargill.
The MotorSport Company is owned by the governing body, MotorSport New Zealand and the six Car Clubs that operate these
circuits.
Much has changed in the eighteen year history of the business and it has gone from strength to strength building one of the
worlds best touring car categories New Zealand V8s as well as promoting a wide range of classes from the Internationally
known Porsche GT3 Cup, Formula Ford and Super Trucks as well as managing sporting requirements for International events
like A1GP and V8 Supercars Australia.
The MotorSport Company also promotes the Premier Rally Championship across the winter months which boosts the largest
fleet of FIA Group N 4WD cars in the Asia Pacific region.
Promoting and managing the sporting and commercial aspects of no less than eight premier race events and five premier rally
events annually keeps this Wellington based company busy and right up to speed with all of the latest developments in the
motor sport and event industry.
